The idea of this podcast is to promote DJ Floskel and the artists featured on this podcast. This is no peer-to-peer-copyright-offense bullsh*t! If you feel offended, let me know and I'll do my best to set things straight. There's two main ways for you to get involved:

I'm planning to provide mixes by unheard or maybe unsigned bands too. So if you feel like you belong here musically, drop me a line. If I dig you're music, I'll push it with a mix.

If you're just a music lover - I mean the 'just' in a good way - try to support the artists featured by buying their music. Try to get a vinyl copy first cause all songs played on the podcast are available on wax. If you can't work that out, try to get the CD or original mp3 download. Support independent labels!

Every episode focuses on a different sub-genre and episodes will be deleted after a couple of weeks.

Background

After DJ Floskel got into digging classic music from the 1970s, he was wondering why there were no contemporary bands playing the same sound. As the new millenium set in, a lot of unknown tracks started popping up and the source was yet to be found. Slowly Floskel started realizing that these sounds came from contemporary bands - a source he wouldn't have expected.

In 2010 Floskel felt it was time to sum up the last funky decade from his point of view and this is where the podcast idea came from. As this podcast will grow, there will be sounds of the forthcoming decades of the new millenium as well.
