Record Store: Co-Mix (Lucerne, Switzerland)

Co-Mix RecordsDigging vinyl is always a pleasure, but the first Saturday of June 2013 simply left us no choice but to spend the whole afternoon in Lucerne's Co-Mix record shop. The weather was pretty much rain drop after rain drop - so me, Murphy and Dan from No Half Steppin invested some extra time, going through records. By the way, this was sort of the inofficial warmup party to "Funky Fever meets Funky Two Kilos" later that day.

Co-Mix RecordsCo-Mix is situated right in the center of Lucerne and provides you with vinyl, comic books and all sorts of HipHop related supplies, such as markers, spraycans, books etc. The shop has a great atmosphere and the dude running it, Walter, is a champion. Co-Mix has a solid selection of Funk, Rap and other genres - no bullshit records and other waste of space. You can get pretty much all of the contemporary vinyl releases there and still find some hidden gems every now and then. My favorite section of the store was the 7" corner, which was nicely ordered and ready to get plundered, and my personal highlight record of the day was Spoonie Gee and the Treacherous Three's "Love Rap" for a more than affordable price. Make sure to pay Co-Mix a visit when you're in town!
